Ari Fouse (PiV ‘19) is an oil painter based out of Brooklyn, NY. Her work plays with tension, ambiguity, and the indeterminacy of space. Her most recent body of work, the Water-bound Series uses the seascape as a vehicle to explore the possibilities of painting and elemental abstraction. Fouse is a '21 BFA Painting student, minoring in Cultural Studies, at Pratt Institute, in Brooklyn. She is also an alumna of the 2019 Pratt in Venice program, where she served as a teaching assistant for the Art History course. Her work has been exhibited in the Pratt in Venice 35th Anniversary Exhibition, in October 2019; Serving the People's Virtual BFA Show, in May 2020; and Sebastopol Center for the Art's Ecstasy: The Breathtaking Beauty of Nature, in January 2021. Fouse has recently accepted an Artist Residency at the Dorland Mountain Arts Colony in Temecula, CA, for August 2021. While Fouse resides in New York, her native Texas is considered home.

Eleanor McGuirk (PiV ‘19) is a multimedia artist based in the New York City metropolitan area. Her most recent artwork illustrates older women in a mythical, whimsical and symbolic environment. Her goal for this series is to celebrate older women in a culture that often ignores them. She is influenced by a plethora of art and design styles from all over the world and across eras. Eleanor will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and a minor in Art History.

Abby Staub (PiV ‘18) is a muralist and installation artist based in Brooklyn. Her street-art-esque style integrates spatial, figural, and textual elements with a bold color pallet. These amalgamations result in visual streams of consciousness where the artist explores and attempts to mediate the relationship between internal, introspective awareness and external, physical reality. Abby will graduate this May with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing.

Representing years of research, exploration, critical thinking, creative inquiry, problem-solving, growth, production, practice, and accomplishment, the Pratt Shows celebrate student work leading up to Commencement in May.

The highly anticipated shows attract a wide audience from New York City’s diverse art and design communities and beyond. Pratt Shows provide students the opportunity to professionally exhibit their work, connecting Pratt talent to industry professionals and advancing new ideas in more than 30 academic fields within architecture, art, design, information, and the liberal arts and sciences.

Due to COVID-19, Pratt Shows will be fully online only this year. Students, faculty and staff have worked hard to create exhibitions and presentations showcasing students’ work that can be explored online.
