Pratt in Venice Prof. Fay Ku Exhibits New Work and Hosts Virtual Studio Visit

Pratt in Venice professor of Printmaking Fay Ku will exhibit new work in a group exhibition, Domestic Brutes, at the Pelham Art Center, New York. An opening reception will take place at the gallery* on Saturday, September 12, with a virtual opening via Zoom taking place on Thursday, September 17; both in person and virtual openings are free and open to the public. Additionally, Prof. Ku will host a virtual studio visit in connection with the exhibition on Thursday, September 24, from 5:00—6:00 pm; registration for the virtual studio visit is required in advance.

Featuring sculpture, installations and paintings by contemporary women artists from the greater New York City region, Domestic Brutes examines questions of identity, beauty, body, women’s social roles and careers, engaging the visitor with diverse approaches of what feminism means in American society today.

Virtual Studio Visit:
Thursday, September 24, 5:00—6:00 pm

The opening receptions* are free and open to the public. The exhibition will be on view from September 12 to November 7, 2020.

* Pelham Art Center gallery visitors are required to abide by all current health regulations. Visitors may enter in groups no larger than 10 at a time.
