Pratt in Venice alumnus Taylor Patterson (PiV '12) has illustrated a new children's book, The Sloppy Okapi, published by Yellow Light Press

Charlie is a young okapi who wants to be a detective, but his one big flaw causes a big, big problem........ he's a very sloppy okapi!

Join Charlie as he learns the importance of being neat while discovering that his weakness doesn't determine his destiny.

Patterson's stunning original illustrations are the first time his work has appeared in print. He says some of the illustrations were influenced by his travel to Italy during the Pratt in Venice program.

Patterson graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with a BFA in Visual Communications. He is currently a Lead Designer at Conssol LLC, and a Designer for BLT Communications, LLC. He lives in Los Angeles.

Tanti auguri, Taylor!
